The Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest)

Just like an eagle's nest, the Kehlsteinhaus sits high on the Obersalzberg mountain at an altitude of 1,834 m and offers spectacular panoramic views.

• Hiking tours or high panoramic roads … the path you choose to get to the Kehlsteinhaus has equally impressive views: you can either choose to hike or travel via the Kehlsteinstraße and the unique Kehlstein Lift.
  
• Architecture and gourmet cuisine … once built to house Hitler's teahouse, the symbol of National Socialist architecture now houses the mountain restaurant. The profits made by the restaurant are donated to charity.
  
• Evening events ... a special experience is "Kehlstein at Night": after a reception with traditional mountain wind instrument music, you can enjoy an evening meal in the quaint atmosphere in front of an open fire.
