Whether you choose to workout in the fresh air or in the perfectly equipped fitness rooms, at Hotel EDELWEISS you have unlimited possibilities. Two modern equipped fitness rooms are available for strength and endurance training. The light-flooded rooms and a pleasant atmosphere provide perfect training conditions. You don’t have to do without the Mountain View here either.

Regular fitness classes complement the offer: Aqua-Gym keeps the body fit through gentle training in the warm water of the panoramic indoor-pool. During a round of guided Nordic walking, the nature of Berchtesgaden can be explored and enjoyed at the same time as the sportive activity.

Enjoy a morning session of Yoga out in the open on our beautiful roof terrace. Let alone the view of our Berchtesgaden Alps and the tremendous Watzmann give you strength for the day. Or you might just want to relax and stretch your muscles and body after a day in the mountains – we have just the perfect yoga room for you overlooking the rooftops of Berchtesgaden. Early Birds can benefit from exercise and relaxation on a yoga hike in the morning.

As a welcomed guest in our yoga hotel, you have the choice: Join Yoga classes spontaneously or schedule individual classes with our trained yoga teacher (at an extra charge, by arrangement).

Morning yoga
With simple yoga poses we welcome the day and get our body and mind going. The freshness of the morning air helps us to start energetic into the day. 

Stretch yoga
For more flexibility in everyday life. This type of yoga is designed to stretch the muscles.

Trainer med. qi Gong & yoga

Yoga for me is the time in the day to be completely for myself and realign myself. Qi Gong is about aligning your thoughts with your body to structure and strengthen it. Both are experiences that I like to share in my classes and convey the joy of Far Eastern movement teachings. So may I actively accompany you on your vacation with yoga, qi gong and aqua gymnastics, maybe even on a little hike around the hotel.

"I love Hatha yoga very much as everyone can find something for themselves within these sessions - no matter if beginner or professional at an age. For me as a yoga teacher it is the art to design and organise the classes in such a way that it is coherent and right for everyone. Conscious breathing, conscious relaxing, conscious asanas, conscious cool downs."

The energising yoga sessions are suitable for all levels. Experience is lovely to have, but of course not a must.
Depending on the actual activity programme, sessions take place up to four times a week with asanas (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation and sound yoga for the right vibration within the body.

The courses will take place regardless of the number of participants and are free of charge for our guests. Depending on the weather situation, you are welcome to experience your very own individual yoga hour outdoors or indoors. And of course – guided with our in-house trainers.

Aquafitness with Stephi

Start your day in shape

The various movements in the water improve strength, mobility and coordination in a way that is easy on the joints. The training has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system and metabolism. The water resistance tones our tissues and increases blood circulation. 

Aquafitness exercises increase strength and endurance as well as flexibility, making it an ideal fitness workout.

The training times vary weekly depending on occupancy and can be inquired at the reception.
