Cross Country Skiing
Obersalzberg, Schönau am Königssee, Berchtesgaden or Bayerish Gmain – there are Langlauf tracks snaking throughout the entire Berchtesgadener Land region. Depending on your mood or fitness level, you can choose from tracks from between 0.4 and 18 kilometres in length, or you can combine them to form longer tours.

Right on the EDELWEISS' doorstep, you will find the starting points for three cross-country skiing tracks. All three are suitable for classic Langlauf and skating.
- Schönau am Königssee: at more than 18 kilometres in length, completing this Langlauf track at Lake Königssee is an attractive goal for even those cross-country skiers who consider themselves at the top of their game. Difficulty level: easy to middle. Five-minute drive from the hotel.
- Scharitzkehl: The Scharitzkehl Langlauf track near Berchtesgaden is approx. six kilometres long. Beginners and experienced skiers alike will feel at home here. Difficulty level: easy / middle / hard. Fifteen-minute drive from the hotel.
- Lake Königssee: This medium sized Langlauf track at Lake Königssee is approximately 11 kilometres long, Difficulty level: middle. Eight-minute drive from the hotel.
