Berchtesgadener Advent

The 5th season with us in Berchtesgaden

Much emphasis is placed on the preservation of old customs in the region. From the end of November, traditions and customs are lived and passed on to the younger generation with care.

Particularly popular and widely known is the Berchtesgaden Advent Market in the heart of Berchtesgaden, in the pedestrian zone around the Hotel EDELWEISS. Many can hardly wait when the historic town center once again forms the atmospheric backdrop and is decorated for Christmas. Over 50 Advent huts offer guests and visitors local traditions, handicrafts or Bavarian delicacies.

Children`s advent

Once again this year, there is plenty on offer for our little ones at the Berchtesgaden Children’s Advent:

From the nostalgic carousel and mini train to the Punch and Judy show, there’s lots to experience at our Gasthof NEUHAUS.

Children can give free rein to their creativity by baking cookies in the children’s bakery and painting workshop

Berchtesgaden incence blends

The incense of house and yard is one of the oldest rituals and is used especially at Christmas time. It serves the purification, should protect against evil and bring blessings and health into the home
