The Hotel EDELWEISS Berchtesgaden fulfils every culinary desire. Located in the heart of Berchtesgaden, this four-star superior hotel offers its guests an incomparable culinary variety in four different restaurants. Whether it’s a multi-course pamper menu in the hotel restaurant, the exclusive gourmet cuisine in the panoramic restaurant, Italian specialties in the EINKEHR restaurant or typical Bavarian delicacies in the Gasthof NEUHAUS. The four restaurants under the direction of kitchen director Stefan Hettegger promise culinary delights, all of which convince with high-quality, regional produce – and each restaurant delivers its own highlights.
In the hotel restaurant of the four-star superior hotel EDELWEISS Berchtesgaden, the hotel Chefs create daily varied five-course gourmet menus with Bavarian-Alpine delicacies. Guests can choose from a menu of vegetarian dishes, meat or fish. The daily changing menu also includes a creative lactose-free and gluten-free selection. Non-hotel guests can enjoy the five courses for € 55 Euros per person, daily from 18:30 to 20:00.
Gourmets experience a treat for all the senses in the PANORAMA restaurant with its panoramic roof terrace. On the top floor of the hotel, Chef Viktor Nagy spoils his guests with fine gourmet cuisine in a stylish ambience. The exclusive creations and dishes such as freshly caught pike from Lake Königssee are topped off by a unique panoramic view of the Berchtesgaden Alps and the local Watzmann mountain, which reveals itself to the guests thanks to the generous all-round glazing. The PANORAMA restaurant is currently open from Thursday to Saturday from 11:00 to 22:00 and from Sunday to Wednesday from 11:00 to 18:00. From 28th April 2022, hotel guests and external guests will again be pampered daily from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Pizza lovers, pasta fans and steak lovers are in just the right place in the EINKEHR Restaurant, which is accessible both via the hotel and directly via the Berchtesgaden pedestrian zone. Italian classics are served here in a relaxed environment. With its direct location on The Christmas Market Square, this restaurant is a popular get-together spot for guests and locals alike all year round. The spacious terrace invites you for a delicious ice cream in summer, while in winter guests enjoy hot drinks wrapped in blankets and warm furs. The Einkehr restaurant is open daily from 11:00 to 22:00.
Traditional beer garden flair with typical Bavarian delicacies and beer from the Berchtesgadener Hofbrauerei can be found in the Gasthof NEUHAUS directly on the market square, just a few metres from the hotel. This traditional inn, whose history dates back to 1576, was lovingly restored by the host family Hettegger and reopened in 2012. In summer, the inviting beer garden regularly attracts visitors with live music for a cosy get-together. At the musicians’ regulars’ table in winter, it gets very sociable and hearty.
